Cathy Holtmann is a Catholic feminist and a long-time liturgical musician.  Having taught part-time in the Religious Studies Department at St. Thomas University in Fredericton for eight years, she is currently a graduate student in the Sociology Department at the University of New Brunswick where she also works as a research assistant with the Religion and Violence e-Learning or RAVE Project (www.theraveproject.org).   Her research interests include women and religion, religion and social action, immigrant religiosity, and religion and domestic violence.  She is a founding member of the New Brunswick local chapter of the Catholic Network for Women's Equality and serves on the editorial team for the national newsletter, The Seed Keepers.  Cathy lives with her husband and their two sons in Harvey Station, NB..
