Cathy Holtmann is a Catholic feminist and a long-time liturgical musician. Having taught part-time in the Religious Studies Department at St. Thomas University in Fredericton for eight years, she is currently a graduate student in the Sociology Department at the University of New Brunswick where she also works as a research assistant with the Religion and Violence e-Learning or RAVE Project (www.theraveproject.org). Her research interests include women and religion, religion and social action, immigrant religiosity, and religion and domestic violence. She is a founding member of the New Brunswick local chapter of the Catholic Network for Women's Equality and serves on the editorial team for the national newsletter, The Seed Keepers.
